NEWS SUMMARY

• Comp-Cycle Cycloross Team was tearing it up at the ECV Gloucester Grand Prix UCI Cyclocross Weekend! Led by Scott “Wooly” Wilson’s top 15 and top 10 place finishes
• Tim “Slim-Speedy” Clarke has touched the sacred Kona water/sand/asphalt/lava and it ready to rock the Ironman World Championships this weekend.
• Captain Kurt “Elmo/Olmo –Ironmuppet” Maw, you are one crazy-a** Cross racer. 3 races in 5 days; day races, night races; dry races, mud races.
• Captain Jen shows fashion can be had anywhere, even on the Cross course. Checkout the attached pict. Sweet Stockings! Sweet Mud.

UPCOMING TRAINING/EVENTS

Bike – Salem Cycle/comprehensiveracing Group Ride is suspended for the season. Look for us starting next April for another season of riding roads.

Run – Join the Tuesday/Thursday 5:30am 5-mile runs in Salem starting at Front Street.

Swim – No swims scheduled this weekend.

RACE NEWS:

2010 Inronman World Championships (Kona, HI)

Slim-speedy Tim is alive and well in Kona. Check out the attached pict of the Kona bracelet. Don’t you just want to touch it. Tim send this little bit of news from the Big Island, “Things are great here. Yesterday we drove up to Hawi to the turn around for the bike and road about 18 mi. back to get a sense of the winds. They were on the strong side from behind and to the side - real bad for about 8 mi. It was nice to get used to what they feel like. . .but hope we miss them on race day. Otherwise lots of very fit people with killer bikes everywhere you look.” The big race is tomorrow, should be starting about 1pm EST, be ready on www.ironmanlive.com

Wow! Only 50 racers this year at the MSG and no Comp. FIRM needs to rally it up for next year, numbers were down for most of the year, with the exception of the highly successful TDD!
