A rainy VT50 race report...

Straight from our very own Chris Page...

This years VT50 was cold and wet with scattered showers that apparently only scattered on the racers. The race started slippery, but by hour 4 had turned tire tread useless as mud got deep, caked and stayed. After bonking harder than ever have before in last years race, more than anything I just wanted to finish feeling "normal-ish". It ended up being a great day (despite the weather) with a solid pace and a PR of about 10 minutes. Teammate/wife Louisa Page was there volunteering at Aid station 4 (12 miles) and was also able to spot and cheer on fellow teammate, Anthony Parillo, as he ran past. Congrats also to Anthony. Awesome race.
